At one blow, our search for the definiteness of the meaning of the word “Being” thus becomes explicitly what it is: a meditation on the provenance of our concealed history. The question, “How does it stand with Being?” must maintain itself within the history of Being if it is, in turn, to unfold and preserve its own historical import. In pursuing it, we will once again focus on the saying of Being.
