62 A Refreshing and Rethinking Retrieval of Greek Thinking

far removed from a pose without movement, the runner’s pose is an active anticipation “away from the position.” I might say that the runner is in active anticipation. Its way of being is as full preparedness and as leading-out (as the dynamic “starting”).

(I have provided a summary of what Heidegger describes in much fuller detail in GA 33:217–18. What Heidegger does in this passage is an excellent example of phenomenological seeing and interpretation or laying out – of a dynamic and not something static at all.)

4. We are called to think Aristotle’s words here “beyond any abstract deliberation.” We are called to think-say “what is said by bringing it forth from out of what shows itself to the truly philosophizing look-glance” (221). The true philosophical look is to the phenomenon, which becomes manifest in empeiria: experience. This is non-conceptual.

5. Ἐνέργεια says: being-at-work (am-Werke-sein). That is its way of being. Its way of being is being-in-movement as the ongoing dynamic of actualizing.

6. Ἐντελέχεια says: holding itself in staying complete (Sich-in-Fertigkeit-halten). Holding itself adroit and ready. (Sachs: beingat-work-staying-complete.) Here movement shows itself “as that whereby something is in motion [in full gear], something is at work, something is going on, happening” (218).

The dynamic of movement is everywhere. Everything is inseparably interconnected, that is, a dynamic onefold or one-ing. We do not say this conceptually or dualistically. Rather we heed what shows itself and learn how to think and say it.

This is the inseparable intertwining of δύναμις and ενέργεια, held together by κίνησις-movement, that is, in such a way that all three are of one piece as the non-dual inseparable dynamic of beyng or radiant emptiness.

7. If we hear all of these words as saying beyng, then we highlight how these words do not name things, beings, or concepts. Rather they say the no-thing non-dual dynamic of radiant emptiness. One could say that the movement that inheres in all three words is the non-dual dynamic of radiant emptiness, also sayable as beyng as Ereignis, dao, buddha mind, and the quantum potential of quantum physics.
