as inception (appropriative event), unfolds (incepts, eventuates appropriatively) outside the domain of the absolute and the relative, and of their differentiation.

The thinking that thinks toward this outside is thinking proper and is the only “real” leap.

“Inception” is therefore not the inception of something else; rather, what this word thinks, here, is the taking-in-itself and intercepting of that which is appropriated in the sufficiency of taking-in-itself [an-sich-nehmendes Aus-langen]: the clearing of the openness, the unconcealment. The taking-in-itself is at once unconcealment and concealment.

Inception is the appropriative singularizing [Er-einigung] of this oneness. Inception is, incipiently, the taking-in-itself of concealment, that is, of parting (cf. the parting). In-ception [An-fang] is appropriative event. The in-cepting is the taking hold of and inter-cepting [Sichfangen und Sichauf-fangen] of the event itself, which unfolds as the clearing, veiled by the veil of the nothing.

In-ception [An-fang] is the inter-cepting of itself [Sich-auf-fangen] in the egress to the abyssal ground.

The essence of unconcealment, within which, as sheltering and veiling, concealment lies, has its distinctive mark in letting beings arise into themselves. Thus, it does include beings as such; as this including, this essence is a ground, in the way that we speak of fore-, mid-, and background in a “spatial” sense.

In the simplicity of a unique projection, the essence of beyng as inception thus casts itself toward the knowledge that: {GA 70: 11}


The in-ception is the taking-in-itself of the parting into the abyss.

This taking-in-itself is inceptive appropriation and is thus the appropriative event of incipience.

In-ception is, inceptively (and this means abyssally), the appropriative event.

In the inceptively appropriative event, inception itself is intercepted over its abyss, thus allowing this latter to plunge into its depth as abyssal ground and to rise up to its heights.

But the inceptively appropriative event has its complete essence only in that it clears the inceptive clearing, sustaining the appropriation, and thus eventuates the openness. Such an appropriative eventuation is the inter-vening of the clearing as time-space. This eventuation assigns the in-between (as in-the-midst-of and as meanwhile) to the nothing-less, until the time-span, unfolding out of the appropriation, in which it then arises as a being.

But this inclusive and protective grounding unfolds only in such a way that the ground itself is no longer ground, and essentially and always turns away from what is ground-like, thereby remaining abyssal ground. Concealment, in which unconcealment unfolds, is the egress into the abyssal ground.
